Find our answers to some frequently asked questions on your Heating, Furnaces, Air Conditioning system, Cooling and Air Conditioners brought up by customers in Colorado Springs, CO.

Frequently asked question on Furnaces repair, replacement and maintenance

Question: If I replace my furnace, will I save money on my heating bill?
Answer: This is a complex question. Generally, yes, but what you need to focus on is fuel consumption. If you replace your 60% efficient furnace with a 95% efficient furnace, your furnace will consume significantly less fuel. Does that always translate into a lower total bill? Not always. We hope it does, but the fact is that crude oil and other sources of fuel are somewhat volatile. Fuel prices from the beginning of a year can vary dramatically from what it costs at the end of the year. You should plan on seeing less fuel as a part of your energy bill, but we can't guarantee that you will save money.

Question: If you replace my furnace, am I going to be without heat for a few days?
Answer: Almost all of our furnace replacements are completed in the same day. From the time we tear out your old furnace to the time your new furnace is turned on is generally the same day. If, for any reason, we are unable to complete a replacement in the same day, we will make sure you don't sit in the cold! We will bring several small space heaters to make sure your home is heated for the night and no pipes are allowed to freeze.

Frequently asked question on Air Conditioner repair, replacement and maintenance

Question: Can I install an Air Conditioner myself?
Answer: Not in Colorado Springs. Our local building department (Pikes Peak Regional Building Department) or "PPRBD" requires that you hire a licensed HVAC Contractor to install the mechanical/gas parts of the system, and a licensed electrician to install the electrical components.

Question: I have a radiant heat system, do you have an air conditioning solution?
Answer: Yes, whether it is a new, fully ducted air conditioning system, or a duct-free minisplit system, we can design an air conditioning system to fit every home.
